Hello Friends & Supporters,
To all those who voted for me, who listened to my commitment to you and to the progress we hoped to achieve—I thank you. You have inspired me and your dedication was humbling. I am sorry we did not prevail but know that we ran a top-notch campaign. We could never have done that without you!
This campaign has been American grassroots politics at its finest. I thank my extraordinary team who never once faltered in their belief or their energy. All along I’ve called this the Campaign of 1,000 Kindnesses because so many friends and neighbors stepped forward to play a part. They have my gratitude as do you, the voters. Finally, they say that a good love makes all things possible so I must give great credit to my love – Gene Kelly.
I am grateful to all of you, especially to everyone who poured their hearts and hopes into this campaign. The way to continue our work now is to take our energy, our passion, and our strength and rededicate ourselves to achieving that Brighter Future for Jefferson County. I promise that I will do the same.
